How does it work?

Choose a resort and room type from the Accommodation Directory of Koh Tao . Once you filled out the enquiry form, we will contact you by mail / phone. If the requested resort is available, we will send you an email, that includes a payment link to PayPal. Once we receive your advance payment, we can reconfirm your reservation.

In case the resort is not available, we will try to find you an alternative resort.

Unfortunately the amount of required advance payment is different from each resort or season, but most of them want at least 40% of the total price in advance for a confirmed booking. As soon as we receive a payment we forwarded it to the booked resort and send you a confirmation back.

Information about Koh Tao

Koh Tao is to the northeast of Surat Thani, about 38 kilometers from Koh Phangan, and about 64 kilometers away from Chumphon.

Since 2005 it is now really easy to get to Koh Tao. You can drive with one of the high speed catamaran boats. You can also arrive from one of the neighboring islands (Koh Phangan or Koh Samui).

Diving in and around Koh Tao's beautiful coral reefs is the islands main attraction. Resorts on Koh Tao offer a wide range of accommodation to fit most budgets.

Traveling around the island and visiting other beaches and bays pretty easy.. Just off the concrete main road you have to be careful when driving on dirty roads. Pick -ups and taxies can be found almost everywhere.

Attracted by the KoTao, and the quick growth in sport scuba diving, a number of companies have set up diving businesses on the island, these companies in turn developed exclusive resorts for their customers, and over the years several of these resorts have become quite elegant. Now a days, you can find everything from cheap simple bamboo bungalows with palm leaf roofs to elegant up-market villas with their very own private swimming pool.

From the days of begining it used to be a prison camp, through to its current re-development, the island has retained it's sparkle, even it now caters for each individual tastes and expeniture.

KohTao is petite; 20 sq kilometer and fifty percent of that too steep to access. KoTao is surrounded by a lot sharks too, nice 'non-human-eating' ones fortunately. Dating from 1933 until 1947 KoTao housed political prisoners. Being situated about 72 km from the mainland meant it is very hard to escape from! Alcatraz ... was nothing in comparison with that.

In those days getting to KohTao required a treacherous boat journey from the main land or near by islands, if and when the weather & seas permitted but the population of the island continued to grow firmly all the same, even when simple life was hard without much reward. Departures & arrivals were on the local coconut boats, and even then delays of several days were common place, so back to the hammock and a world of dreams, the boat will come another day. Consequently, as its reputation for beautiful nature, outstanding marine life and beautiful landscapes got bigger, better access was made available when better built and safer boats were brought in to cope with the large number of backpackers being attracted to the island.
