Ban's Diving Resort is nestled in beautiful tropical surroundings right in the centre of Sairee Beach, Koh Tao's main beach and the place to be for sun lovers and beach goers. Centrally located, the resort is within walking distance of restaurants, shopping, viewpoints, night life and everything else that will make your stay on Koh Tao memorable.

Sitting in our beach side restaurant, you will be able to enjoy the fantastic sunset that Koh Tao is famous for. The sky is simply ablaze in a variety of purple, yellow, red and orange colours. Sairee Beach is the place to chill out after an exciting days diving or snorkelling.

Seashell Dive Courses

Seashell Resort & Dive Center is based at the north end of Sairee Beach near Sairee village, the reception and restaurant area is located next to the beach and has great views of the sunset, it’s quite a busy restaurant at all times of the day, so it’s a good place to catch up on your days diving with you dive buddy or dive group or even talk to others about their dive experiences. They have a good menu offering both traditional Thai and also western food. They also have a large screen T/V in the corner of the restaurant, so if you want to you can just chill and catch up with the latest movies or news.

The Cottages and Villas are set in beautiful mature gardens surrounded with lots of different flowering plants; the rooms are of a good size, clean and designed in the traditional Thai style house, they are also spread out in the large grounds, so at least you can get a bit piece and quite on your bungalow balcony if you don’t want the noise of the restaurant.

Seashell Dive Center is a multilingual dive school offering all PADI courses from beginners to professional and also fun diving if you already have your PADI. They go to all the dive sites including Shark Island and Shark Bay where you have a very good chance of watching Whale Sharks feeding and maybe some Black Tip Sharks hunting. They have recently bought a brand new boat and the regularly update and buy new dive equipment, they also guarantee small dive groups, so you get a better one to one tuition and dives.

Koh Tao Coral Grand Divers

The Koh Tao Coral Grand Divers is a large and very well organized resort and dive centre, set in outstanding grounds with beautiful gardens and flowers surrounding all the resort and bungalows. The resort has a variety of different accommodation packages available, from the basic rooms to the luxurious ‘Captains Suite Cottages’ which is on the beach and with all the facilities you would expect from a 5 star resort.
If you are diving at this resort you can expect a discount for using their dive centre and equipment for diving or dive courses.

There are approximately 22-dive sites in the immediate vicinity of Koh Tao. The closest sites being 5 to 10 minutes away and the furthest being 40 to 60 minutes away by Coral Grand Divers dive and speed boats. They have a large selection of different boats available from Small fast power boats taking 14 people including equipment, to large fully equipped dive boats carrying up to 38 divers and equipment.

All their vessels carry ship-to-shore communications, have emergency oxygen on board & First Aid kits, floatation devices, and all Coral Grand Divers - Koh Tao’s dive crew are legally qualified as D.A.N. Oxygen Providers and all are Emergency First Responders. Coral Grand Divers - Koh Tao permanently uses a PADI Dive Master to remain dry onboard in the unlikely event of a surface related problem and to assist divers in and out of the water as well as acting as look-out for additional safety.

All of the dive equipment is maintained and serviced to a high quality, and it’s all done on-site, they use good quality equipment for diving and training, with lots of different extras to hire like diver propulsion vehicles and under water cameras.
I found the staff in both the resort and the dive centre very helpful and friendly; they have a variety of staff from all over the globe, so no matter which language you speak, most of the time they should be able to conduct your diving and tuition in your own native language. This Dive Company and resort comes highly recommended.

Blue Diamond Diving Dive Courses

The Blue Diamond Dive Resort is located to the south of Mae Haad. It is easy to find, when you get off the ferry at Mae Haad, turn right on the main street (with the sea on your right) and follow the Lane to the end. It has a good reception Area with friendly Staff who have a good knowlege of English and diving. It has seperate private briefing and a good supply of well maintained Dive equipment.

Crystal Dive packages with acccommodation

They do not offer accommodation only, the accommodation only comes with the dive packages below, and they are currently in the process of building a new resort for accommodation only based on Sairee Beach. We will place it on this site when the resort is completed.

Crystal Dive Resort is situated on Mae Haad beach near the pier for the Seatrans Ferry. The accommodation is for divers only so if you’re looking for a package dive company with accommodation and diving this is the company for you. They offer a variety of accommodations suiting all budgets from basic fan rooms to luxury bungalows with air-con, T/V, hot showers etc. check out some of the packages available.

Whether your diving on a local trip around the island or one of the full day trips to Angthong National Marine Park or the famous Sail Rock, their two main dive boats are perfect for these situations, both boats have sun decks, toilets, refreshment areas and ship to shore radio’s as well as full oxygen and first aid set up. They also have a fully equipped speed boat for small groups or private charters.

They offer courses from beginners through to professional level in a multitude of languages including English, German, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Hebrew, Spanish, French, Danish and Thai, they also have the manuals you need in different languages as well.

The bungalows and rooms are of a good standard and clean, the restaurant seams always busy with divers discussing the latest dives, so it’s a great place to get any tips or catch up on your revising for the next day.

Sunshine Divers Dive Courses

Sunshine Divers is based in the beautiful bay of Chalok Baan Kao in the south of the island, they are one of the longest established dive companies on Koh Tao educating divers since 1993 and is also the sister company of Bans Diving one of the largest and most experienced dive resorts on Sairee Beach and Koh Tao. The accommodation is recognised as some of the best in the southern part of Koh Tao with many other dive resorts using their facilities to satisfy their own customers.

Adventure Divers

Adventure Diving is situated on the beach right next to the Songserm Ferry pier and office in Mae Haad, as you walk down the pier from the boat you can see the resort to your right hand side. The restaurant is located next to the beach with great views of Mae Haad and Sairee Beach, but most of all it’s one of the best places to watch the sunsets.

Adventure Diving use Beach Bay Villa for their accommodation and they are situated in the same building, making it very easy to get to your dives in the morning. The rooms are clean and well furnished, and good value for the price range. The staff are all very friendly and have a good knowledge of English and the local area. I have eaten at this restaurant many times and found the food excellent value for money and it also tastes great.

They have their own well equipped dive boat (with an on board equipment room) which collects and drops off its divers on the Songserm pier directly outside the resort. The dive equipment is well maintained and looked after, they offer the full range of dive courses and fun dive packages. Non divers and snorkelers are also welcome on the boat so they can see what goes on when organising a dive.

Black Tip Dive Courses

Black Tip Dive Resort is situated in the beautiful Tanote Bay on the east side of the island, don’t be put off with it being a dive resort as they also do accommodation only as well. This is a clean well run family resort with very friendly staff, and nice bungalows situated behind the restaurant and reception area, it also welcomes families with children as it is also a very safe beach for them to play on and explore.

Their dive are courses are very well run and they can even offer courses in different languages with the PADI manuals also your language as well. Their equipment is up to date and well maintained, as are their boats.

This is a great place for snorkelling, as this side of the island has some of the best coral and the clearest waters on the island. You can do you Padi dive course or even your open water course here (Black Tip is a PADI Gold Palm 5 Star IDC Resort), or if you’re not that adventurous you can hire a mask, snorkel and some fins and visit the live coral and all the different selection of fish just 20-30 meters off shore.

They can also offer wake boarding, inflatables a variety of different water sports to suit all the family members young to old, or you can do what most people do when they come to this beach, lay on the beach and soak up the sun. The restaurant has great views of the beach and surrounding area and offers both western and excellent traditional Thai style food.

Please note that if you have not been diving in 6 months or more, you will be required to participate in a check dive. If you have not been diving in a year, you will be required to participate in a scuba review. This is for your own personal safety and for protection of the environment.

Pheonix Divers

Phoenix Divers are located in the heart of Sairee beach, next door to the AC Resort, who is their sister company, so if you dive and stay with them you will use AC Resort for your accommodation. This is a well established company on the island and one of the only resorts to offer both PADI and SSI training courses, so no matter which level you start at Phoenix Divers is a good place to start.

Golden Divers

Golden Divers are located in the beautiful Mae Haad Bay with their off very close to the Songserm and Lomprayah piers. This dive company is a small well established company that specialise in diving with small groups of a maximum of 4 divers, so you get more time with the instructors and more time diving.

They offer a wide selection of dive courses and they can also organise fun dives at all the local sites if you are a qualified PADI or SSI diver. If you do your PADI Advanced Open Water course with them they have free use of an underwater digital camera so you can record you progress and dives at all the local dive sites.

They do not offer any accommodation with the dive course, but they do have good relationships with some of the local bungalow resorts in Mae Haad, so if your looking for a basic bamboo bungalow or a 5 star villa they can assist you in finding some accommodation or if you see anything on our website let us know and we can look into it for you as well.

Master Divers

Master Divers is a scuba diving school situated on the beautiful beach of Mae Haad, Koh Tao. They can teach you recreational and technical diving from novice through to master instructor, with a range of dive specialties also available, or they can act as your guide to Koh Tao's stunning dive sites if you just want to do fun dives.

Master Divers offer some great diving opportunities for more experienced divers, including fun dives at all the dive sites around Koh Tao. They have two dive boats, a super fast Rigid Inflatable Boat, or technical boat for those more advanced courses. The MV Trident (the technical boat) is a fully equipped steel-hulled boat which offers live aboard diving. We're happy to offer Nitrox diving (in fact, they fill the tanks for most dive centres in Koh Tao that offer Nitrox) and Tri-mix for technical divers.

If your friends don't fancy diving they can still accompany you on the dive boat and snorkel with you at shallow dive sites for free.

Working as an intern with Master Divers, you will be expertly guided through your study and exams whilst gaining a practical, hands-on experience. As a Dive-master Trainee (DMT), you'll get the opportunity to work on the Valiant (the best RIB on Koh Tao) as well as our main dive boat. You will also learn to work in every aspect of the dive centre. Only Master Divers can offer this breadth of experience.

You can charter the RIB for sightseeing, snorkeling, or diving around Koh Tao. They can get to remote sites fast. The charter includes the use of the boat, a captain, and snorkeling/diving equipment if required, and we can arrange for a Dive Master, instructor, or lunch at additional cost. Never been snorkeling before? Perhaps you've been snorkeling, but you don't feel entirely comfortable with it?

Dive Point

Dive Point Divers is located in Mae Haad bay and is situated in between the Songserm and Lomprayah piers, you can actually see their offices as you approach the island by one of the many boats.

They have qualified & professional instructors who teach all courses in your preferred language for example: English, German, French, Dutch, Spanish etc. All of the courses are limited to 4 students per class. The significance of this is that it allows more control and they can focus on quality one to one teaching.

In many cases their dive masters have been trained by Master Divers and this ensures that they are familiar with our shop philosophy and our safe diving practices. They are also familiar with the dive sites, the local weather etc, so let them guide you as they know all the best spots. All dives are also guided and are limited to maximum of 4 divers per group.

The "Dive Point" dive boat is 25 meters long and  is the actual dive base. It is the only fully equipped dive boat on Koh Tao.

As safety is one of their primary factors, they have a 40ltr oxygen unit and a first aid kit on board the boat and all of their staff members have first aid training & are familiar with dive emergency procedures. Dive equipment that is in good working condition is paramount to safety, thus, their equipment is maintained on a continual basis throughout the season and gets a complete overhaul annually.

Carabao Diving

Buddha View Dive Courses

Buddha View Diving is a PADI 5 Star Gold Palm IDC resort; they are located in the beautiful Chalok Baan Kao beach to the south of Koh Tao. Big Bubble Diving

Big Bubble Diving is a PADI 5 Star Golden Palm resort, and is one of the longest established dive companies on Koh Tao. They are located on the peaceful and beautiful beach of Chalok Baan Kao, on the southern coast of the island. Planet Scuba

Planet Scuba has been established for over twenty years and they have three locations in Thailand, Bangkok, Koh Tao and Koh Samui. Koh Tao seems to be their busiest office as most of the dive sites are around our small island. They have two offices on Koh Toa the main office and with a very extensive dive shop is located in Mae Haad, and they have a beach shop and office on Sairee Beach.

All of their instructors are highly trained in all the PADI courses, with some instructors specialising in under water photography, EFR and IDC Training, plus many more. Scuba Shack

Scuba Shack has been established for over 10 years on Koh Tao, and they offer all of the PADI and SSI courses from the very basic Discover Scuba Diving to the Divemaster and Instructor training courses, and all of the courses are available in many languages. They can also arrange snorkelling trips to some of the dive site and beaches around Koh Tao if diving is not what you are looking for. All of their training is done is small groups of 3 or 4 people, so you get to spend more time diving, training and more time with your instructors.

They have a well equipped dive boat with a capacity for 25 passengers including instructors, so if you are diving your friend or partner who is a non-diver can join the boat and snorkel on top while you dive below. The boat comes equipped with 40 aluminium tanks with k-valves, emergency oxygen and first aid kit, emergency floatation and radio, a spacious sun deck with cushions and hammocks, and loads of refreshments and chill music for the trip home.
