Sailing is great fun, a very quiet and peaceful way to the island from a different, Koh Tao is such a small island that you can quite easily sail around it in a day or even take two, they have a variety of different crafts from Laser dinghy’s to different size Hobbie Cats that can be rented by the hour, half day and full day.
Sailing and skipper courses are also available for you beginners’ out there, on favourable days it can take as little as 3 to 4 hours to circumnavigate around our small island. So you can easily drop off and stop at the odd deserted bay or beach, to snorkel and swim for a little while or even stop for lunch and some cool drinks.
Wakeboarding is a surface water sport which involves riding a wakeboard over the surface of a body of water behind a boat. It was developed from a combination of water skiing, snowboarding and surfing techniques. The rider is towed behind a boat; typically at speeds of 18–24 miles per hour depending on water conditions, rider's weight, board size, and all depending on the rider's comfort speed. Once you have mastered the basics, it’s very easy to pick up simple tricks and jumps.
Waterskiing is a sport where an individual (or more than one individual) is pulled behind a speed boat over a body of water. The skier is either wearing one (slalom) or two (double) skis. The surface area of the ski (or skis) keeps the person skimming on the surface of the water allowing the skier to stand upright while holding onto a tow rope. So if you’re a total beginner or an expert we have the package for you, its great fun and easy to learn.
Windsurfing is a water sport that uses a wind surf board usually two to four meters long and powered by the effect of the wind on a sail. The rig is connected to the board by a free-rotating universal joint and comprises a mast, wishbone boom and sail. The sail area ranges from less than 3.0m2 to more than 12m2 depending on the conditions, the skill of the sailor and the type of windsurfing being undertaken. This again is great fun as you are standing on the board holding the power of the wind in your hands, and once again when you master the board, jumps and tricks is the next step.
